Nill Spring has developed a new generation boxspring: the Vasca ... a boxspring of bent wood!
The box is 'upholstered' with wood - in a sophisticated soft design. Let there be no misunderstanding: this is not an insert box spring in a wooden bed frame but a pocket spring interior in a wooden box. The box is styled as a tub (Italian: Vasca): the sides are curved and chamfered. The curvature of these edges follows exactly the rounded corners of the headboard. The biggest challenge however was : how to make the mitre joints (de-)assemble. A 3-D print model succeeded in this. The consistently rounded edge creates an elegant, airy look.
